PowerGel filled joint and branch joint for multi-conductor plastic cables 0.6/1 kV

The RayGel Plus joints are a consistent further development of the RayGel product range, which has already been tried and tested for years. It is now even easier to install cable joints in the ground, on cable trays or in outdoor applications.

Enclosure design

The enclosures are made of halogen-free, UV-resistant and impact-resistant polypropylene material. They are specifically designed for use as a universal joint and branch joint with a wide range of applications. RayGel Plus joints can be easily closed by hand due to their wavy and outward sloping gel barriers. Strain relief for the installed cables is now integrated in the housing and can be easily realised with the help of two cable ties. All joints meet the requirements for IP 68 protection (RayGel Plus 0/1 joints only when using closed box terminals).

Raychem PowerGel technology

The joint body with its unique PowerGel filling provides mechanical protection, insulation and sealing in only one step, reducing the assembly effort and thus the installation time. PowerGel is suitable for use up to 90 °C conductor temperature and can be stored indefinitely.

Easy installation

The two robust casing halves are simply pressed together until the locks snap into place. No special tools are required, there is no need to machine the casing, there is no mixing, filling or curing of liquids and no flame. After installation, the joints can be put into operation immediately.

Proven quality

All Raychem RayGel Plus joints have been type-tested according to the European standard CENELEC EN 50393, which includes a three-week load change test under water (1m water depth).
