The ESS31-T. electronic circuit breaker for DC 24 V applications, which is only 12.5 mm narrow, selectively protects all DC 24 V load circuits and thus increases the availability of machines and systems. This is achieved by a combination of active electronic current limiting in the event of a short circuit and an overload cut-off at typ. 1.2 x IN. The device reacts faster than frequently used DC 24 V switched-mode power supplies without tripping quickly and thus prevents fatal voltage drops in the supply. The ESS31-T can be snapped directly onto the top-hat rail and thus offers fast and flexible mounting for groups of devices with several circuits.
ESS31-T operates with a single switch-off characteristic for all types of loads. Capacitive loads up to 40,000 μF can also be operated very easily. Fixed current ratings from 0.5 A to 12 A are available. The integrated fail-safe element (fuse) is adapted to the rated device current and can thus be very easily matched to the wired cable cross-section. This facilitates planning enormously.

Due to the approval according to UL1077 "Supplementary Protector" and the UL Listed approval according to UL60947/UL508, these circuit breakers can also be used without problems in applications according to UL 508A "Industrial Control Panels" and are also suitable for "field wiring". Furthermore, the integrated galvanic isolation provides an additional level of safety, as a circuit breaker is actually "OFF" in the "OFF" state.
